A Case of Acute Focal Nephritis Suspicious of Renal Tumor
Abstract
Acute focal nephritis, also known as acute lobar nephronia, is a localized renal infection. It should be distinguished from abscess or other renal masses. The distinction between acute focal nephritis and other renal masses is aided by the use of
ultrasonography and computerized tomography. Treatment is nonoperative, intensive antibiotic therapy. We report a case of acute focal nephritis suspicious of renal tumor.
